Reliably Manage Objects Between Environments
ActiveBatch's Change Management ensures a highly reliable approach to synchronizing and managing objects across various environments such as Test, QA, and Production. The change management system's graphical user interface detects object differences and indicates the level of synchronization that needs to be performed. ActiveBatch Change Management system allows you to compare different job schedulers and their environments and then select and migrate (promote) ActiveBatch Objects from one job scheduler to another.
Using a visual approach to compare objects, ActiveBatch allows the designer to approve, accept, or exclude each of the changes, handle exceptions, and transform the object names to ensure their reliable promotion between the different environments. Objects selected to be synchronized can then be presented for review and approval.
As a result, organizations can reduce delays typically associated with deploying and updating end-to-end workflows across different systems and environments and benefit from improved control over the objects in their environments.
Changesets and Change Management
Changesets allow users to associate and identify multiple object changes as part of a single check-in and, when necessary, rollback multiple changes at one time. Built-in audit trails show what changes were deployed, when, and by whom. The ability to add comments on particular changesets provides users with a high degree of maintainability, manageability, and control. Changesets within the change management system give users the ability to identify, rollback, restore, and audit groups of changes made within ActiveBatch Change Management, so organizations can get up-and-running faster in the event of a failure or other issue.
